Sherene is an Assistant Solicitor in the Family department specialising in Care Proceedings, Private Children Law, Divorce and financial remedy, and Injunctions. She regularly undertakes advocacy on her own cases as well as cases for other solicitors within the department. Sherene regularly appears at Central Family Court, Croydon Family Court, Bromley Family Court, and East London Family Court. She works with both legally aided and privately paying clients.
Sherene has experience in acting for clients with mental health issues and learning difficulties. She also has an interest in representing victims of domestic violence.
Sherene volunteers at Solace Women’s Aid providing a legal advice to their service users. She is also an Honorary Legal Adviser at the Citizen’s Advice Bureau within the Central Family Court.
Sherene is a member of Resolution where she receives regular updates on Family Law and adheres to their codes of conduct.
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Sherene worked in the in criminal defence team at GT Stewart Solicitors from 2014 as a paralegal and accredited police station representative. She has gained over 10 years experience within various roles and firms in the legal industry.
