Sarah Memmi, instructed by Jessica Gosling and Katie McFadden, represented FD who was facing one count of being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a baseball bat. FD had been attacked by two men and was later in possession of a baseball bat. FD denied any intent to cause injury, having the bat solely to deter his assailants from approaching him again.
The jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict.
