GT Stewart’s Leeds office acted for a farmer who was facing the loss of his family home and livestock business as a result of a prosecution for breaching the law on Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Patricia Walker managed to persuade the prosecution to drop one of the charges and then successfully opposed an exorbitant cost application for over £60,000.
In the end the client was ordered to pay a fine and cost totally less than £1,000.
